If you receive a positive Lateral Flow Test result, this means that you may currently be infected with COVID-19, and you could pose a risk to others around you. Therefore, we advise you to take a NHS PCR test to confirm this result as sometimes the Lateral Flow Test may produce a false positive result. Unfortunately we will not be able to issue you a Fit to Fly Certificate for travel.
If the PCR result comes back positive then you should self-isolate immediately, inform those you have been in contact within the last 7 days in case this result effects them. A positive result may result in public health or other medical services contacting you for contact tracing and or to prevent spread of the infection. If you would like further information on what you should do if you receive a positive result, you should visit https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 or contact the NHS on 111.
If the PCR result comes back negative and you have no symptoms of covid (sore throat/cough/headache/temp) then you do not need to self isolate.
