All safety critical medicals consist of :

  1. A Safety Critical Health Questionnaire to establish your Medical History
  2. Blood pressure check, Pulse, Height, Weight, BMI
  3. Urine test for glucose, blood & proteins
  4. Finger prick test for Glucose
  5. Audiometry Test (hearing test)
  6. Spirometry/ Respiratory Test ( Lung Function test)
  7. Eye test including visual acuity, colour vision and peripheral vision screen
  8. Physical examination to assess Mobility/ Musculoskeletal/ Cardiovascular/ Respiratory/ Abdominal examination
  9. Mental Health Assessment/ Psychiatric screen
  10. Dermatology assessment (skin check)

Additional Optional tests can include:

  • Alcohol and drug Testing
  • Working at Height assessment (Includes Grip strength & MSK Assessment/Exercise Test)

A fitness certificate is issued as listed below. In order for the certificate to remain valid you will require an annual medical assessment.

  1. Age 18-54 > 3 yearly fitness certificate.
  2. Age 55-64 > 2 yearly fitness certificate.
  3. When you turn 65 you will be issued with an annual fitness certificate.
